GED Ready, as explained in this video, is the official practice test program offered through GED.com.
There is a practice test (half the length of a full test) for each of the GED’s four subjects: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Social Studies, and Science. The practice tests are conducted on a computer. Although an on-screen calculator is provided, the practice tests are best tackled with a handheld TI-30XS MultiView Scientific Calculator.
After you take a GED Ready practice test, you will be given a score regarding your readiness to pass the full test:
🟢 145 -200. Likely to pass. Schedule the full test in this subject right away.
🟡 134 -144. Getting close. Study this subject more before scheduling full test.
🔴 100 -133. Not likely to pass. Study this subject much more before scheduling full test.
Along with the score, you will be given a custom study plan to help you focus on key concepts for passing the full test.
GED Ready practice tests are well worth the cost of $6.99 per subject and $22.99 for all four subjects. Some GED prep centers will help you defray the cost.
