Subject-Verb Agreement is a rich source for test questions.

In the Reasoning Through Language Arts module, there will be questions about (but not necessarily limited to) the following rules of subject-verb agreement:
(1) A singular subject acts through a singular verb.
(2) A plural subject acts through a plural verb.


Singular Subject acting through a Singular Verb

Singular Subject = noun, usually not ending in s, for a single person, place, or thing
Singular Verb = verb, usually ending in s, through which a singular subject acts
The 
dog barks.
The cat meows.


Plural Subject acting through a Plural Verb

Plural Subject = noun, usually ending in s, for more than one person, place, or thing
Plural Verb = verb, usually not ending in s, through which a plural subject acts
The dogs bark.
The cats meow.
